Abstract:Allama Muhammad Iqbal is a great poet. He is considered to be the poet of Millah Al-Islamia. Iqbal has absorbed many dimensions belonging to the different cultures,Philosophies and Ideologies, prevailing on the different societies of the world. He hasalso taken very important theoretical aspects of the ancient Arabic and Persianhistorical ages. It is considered that the Jahaliya Poetry of Arabic Language has a greatinfluence in shaping the poetical aspect found in Urdu and Persian poetry of Iqbal. Themost of studies have been done about the theological contents of his poetry. Oneaspect was always found missing in Iqbal's poetry that was about the poeticaltechniques of Arabic poetry on Iqbal. In respect of its techniques in the light of modernand ancient poetry the study made in the article is around the poetical techniques ofIqbal in his different poetical works. It is being presented for the consulting of thescholars who are interested to study the relationship between Iqbal and Arabic poetry. We has discussed in this article, the poetical techniques and meters etc to prove thatthe Arabic poetry have a great influence on Iqbal. The theological, theoretical andtechnical side has aspired the said poet very much.
