• 6 Drop Limit• Drop deadlines• September 11 – Last day to drop and receive a full
refund, drop will not count toward 6-drop limit• October 4 – Last day to drop without academic
penalty• October 31 – Last day to drop a class
• Dropping below 12 hours• Will no longer be full-time, may affect Financial Aid

• W or WF? – Designated by the instructor• W = Passing grade at the time of drop• Does not count toward GPA• Is not considered “first attempt” for nursing
• WF = Failing grade at the time of drop• Does not count toward 6-drop limit• DOES count toward GPA• DOES count as “first attempt” for nursing• It is better to receive an F than a WF!

Repeating a Class
• Use most recent grade for nursing GPA• Does not give you a second chance at “first
attempt” preference• Three-peat rule• Taking a class for the third or more time, you will
be charged higher tuition
Withdrawing from TWU
• If you are withdrawing from ALL courses for the semester• Medical withdrawal (temporary physical or psychological
condition which prevents you from completing the semester)

• Aug 23 – Last day to withdraw and receive full refund (minus matriculation fee)
