Spring/Summer 2015

Perfectly placed in everyday situations from the farmer’s market and hot yoga to the Louvre or a weekend in Vegas, certain essentials must accompany you on adventures. Selecting a hand-bag should not be a task taken lightly. Smitten with the finer things in life, you appreciate a persnickety attention to detail and recognize exceptional quality that come in the form of crisp lines and oh-so-perfect color combinations.

....the finer things of life.

This is the summer of passion. I wake in my hotel room at the La Tremoille on Montaigne Avenue after months of getting in shape. I passed on the free weights and silly goals of dropping pounds before I jet across the pond and instead, focused my efforts on prepping my soul with meditative get-togethers with the girls and daily scouting excursions for Parisian-worthy attire.

Goodness, I’m jealous of myself!

....hopping across the pond.

I always spend my first day in France perusing the art scene and start with the Grand Palais and then the Musée national Gustave Moreau. After soaking in some much needed beauty, I reward myself with my favorite patisserie. I slowly nibble on dense baked pastry, maca-roon, and tea, savoring each bite. Sitting in the silence of my mind, I soak in the sights, sounds, and tastes of Paris. Oh, how on earth can I go back to a garden variety life after this summer escapade? Luckily the remnants of my trip will forever be tucked away in the handbags that accompanied me…

Before I left for Paris, I already dreaded coming back home. The dream of living in a French fantasy every-day made my humdrum life look pretty tame, but the truth is, I occasionally participate in mischief of my own. Sure, the Champs-Élysées is not my canvas, but that purity for fashion and a desire to make each day a thrilling adventure has always been living in my soul. I missed my Francophile life over here in the good ol’ US of A and before I could even empty the contents of my suitcase, I found myself skipping off to meet the girls and catch up over cocktails and conversation.
