Welcome to our school!

THE FIRST SCHOOL IN PETRESTI VILLAGE WAS FOUNDED IN 1922 AND WAS FUNCTIONING IN A BUILDING HAVING A SINGLE CLASSROOM WHERE SIMULTANEOUSLY LEARNT PUPILS FROM FIRST TO FOURTH GRADE.

LATER,IN 1955 THERE WAS BUILT ANOTHER MAIN PART HAVING THREE CLASSROOMS AND THE UNIT TURNED FROM PRIMARY TO SECONDARY SCHOOL.

THE ACTUAL BUILDING WAS FOUNDED IN 1986

IN 2009-2010 SCHOOL YEAR,IN OUR UNIT THERE ARE NINE FORMS (FOUR BELONGING TO PRIMARY COURSE AND FIVE TO SECONDARY).THERE ARE 157REGISTERED PUPILS (54 IN PRIMARY AND 103 IN SECONDARY SERIES),83 GIRLS AND 74 BOYS.

THE TEACHING STAFF IS MADE UP OF 17 FULL PROFESSORS AND 4 DEPUTY PROFESSORS.  

MATERIAL RESOURCES: OUR SCHOOL FUNCTIONS IN A NEW BUILDING,REHABILITATED IN 2006 WHICH HOLDS SEVEN CLASSROOMS AND THREE LABORATORIES (OF DATA PROCESSING,BIOLOGY AND PHYSICS-CHEMISTRY).ALL OUR CLASSROOMS HAVE NEW PIECES OF FURNITURE,THE DATA PROCESSING LABORATORY IS EQUIPPED WITH TEN COMPUTERS,INTERNET CONNECTION,SCANNER,PRINTER,IN THE SCHOOL SECRETARIATE THERE ARE ALSO TWO PENTIUM4 COMPUTERS
