Record keeping

• May hold RUP records in behalf of producer

• Must have signed agreement between producer and custom applicator.

• Keep for two years

Why keep records?

• Establish proof of proper use/application

• Save you $• Reduce mistakes/misuse• Better gage amount

needed• Future reference• Comparison • In case of legal action

• Residual atrazine on soybeans

• Unsafened sulfonylurea on corn

• Name and contact info of customer• Who purchased pesticide• Names of any handlers• Date/time • Location/description• Target pest• Equipment used

Pesticide used

• Brand name• Common name• Formulation• % active ingredient• EPA Reg. #• Amount used• Total amount applied• Any adjuvants, etc.• Rate of application

Formulation abbreviations

• D – dust• G – granular• SP – soluble powder• S – solution • WP – wettable

powder

• EC – emulsifiable concentrate

• DF – dry flowable• WDG – water

dispersible granule• WSP – water

soluble packet• ULV – ultra low

volume

• Create a map• List GPS coordinates to

delineate a field• Record a single GPS

Spot treatments
