• The balanced scorecard (BSC) is a strategy performance management tool.
• It is recommend that managers gather information from four important perspectives:– The customer's perspective. – The internal business perspective– The innovation
and learning perspective.
– The financial perspective.
RATING SYSTEM
The ratings are given against commitments such as:• Substantially falls short of expectation• Almost meets expectation• Meets expectation• Exceeds expectation• Substantially exceeds expectation
Forced distribution method
•This is a method of performance appraisal to rank employee but in order of forced distribution.•Advantage:
They force reluctant managers to make difficult decisions and identify the most and least talented members of the work group
•Disadvantage:They discourage collaboration and teamwork
