Perfect cleaning increases efficiencyThe new cleaning method cleans ALL heat exchanger tubes at regular intervals - NOW the down draught is also cleaned (Stainless steel turbulators). The heat ex-changer is cleaned with turbulators made out of heat-resistant material.
The turbulators remove the fly ash from the pipes, which falls down into the ash extraction auger. The result is easier cleaning and increased overall efficiency.
Unique double rotary step grateThe grate consists of two adjacent stepped grates which can be moved independently. As a result, wood pellets may be burned efficiently.
If regular wood pellets are used, only the rear de-ash grate opens. The ash falls down and the embers remain.
If the boiler is completely cold, a full cleaning process is executed. Both grates rotate and all foreign objects, such as stones, nails, etc. are removed in addition to the cold ash.
Energy-saving OperationSpeed-controlled EC exhaust fan with negative pressure monitoringFor the ECO-PK Hargassner uses energy-efficient EC exhaust fans. The main advantage of this GreenTech EC technology is the significantly higher efficiency rate of up to 90 %. This saves energy and electricity. The negative-pressure unit constantly measures the pressure conditions in the combustion chamber. The Lambda Touchtronic uses this data to control the speed of the draught fan, thus keeping the negative pressure at an ideal level. This concept ensures combustion with minimal exhaust gas temperatures and therefore maximum efficiency.

Recirculation to reduce clinker
To reduce clinker in the ash, Hargassner offers flue gas recirculation as standard.Due to the cooling of the firebed during combustion, the relatively low ash melting point of very dry material can be reduced. The ash can be easily removed into the ash extraction auger.

The all new ash suction system results in annual maintenance intervals
Optionally, a 300 litre ash bin is available. The suction system transports the ash through a steel pipe system from the boiler room into the ash bin, which is located in a roofed outdoor area. With a tractor or front loader, the ash bin may be emptied once a year. Hargassner provides best ease of use - with superior and smart cleaning technology.

This is the only way to guarantee an optimum (i.e. economical and low emission) combustion that can save energy and money with more than 93 % efficiency.
Speed-controlled induced draught fan with negative pressure regulationThe negative-pressure unit constantly measures the pressure conditions in the combustion chamber. The Lambda-Hatronic uses this data to control the speed of the draught fan, thus keeping the negative pressure at an ideal level. This concept ensures combustion with minimal exhaust gas temperatures and therefore maximum efficiency. This fan ensures the highest operating safety – independent of the natural chimney draught.

3-path heat exchanger including fly ash separatorYears of experience have taught us that the flames of a wood fire must not be disturbed. In the Hargassner heat exchanger, the large burnout zone ensures an uninterrupted combustion process. Following this, the hot flue gases stream through one down-flow and one up-flow channel, including a fly ash separator.
Heat exchanger cleaning systemGone are the days when you have to clean the boiler. The control unit manages our fully automatic heat exchanger cleaning device. Depending on the heating times programmed, the system automatically switches on. The turbulators remove fly ash from the pipes, which directly falls down onto the ash extraction auger.
Fully refractory-lined high performance combustion chamber with double vault & turbo concentration bricks for optimum post-combustionRefractory has proven itself as the optimum material available in terms of heat storage, func-tion and durability. Fewer ignitions and optimum combustion – also at partial load – are the results. Optimum afterburning is guaranteed by our special twin chamber and boiler throat. Primary air is consistently blown in via the grate and the ignition takes place automatically by a hot-air fan. Fully automatic boiler cleaning system and ash removalHargassner heating technology now brings you even more convenience. The ash removal system cleans the boiler at regular intervals. The fly ash falls automatically down after the cleaning movements of the specially-constructed turbulators. Inside the ash box, all the ash is compacted to a quarter of its original volume – thereby saving space and lengthen-ing the emptying interval.
From the hopper into the double rotary valveHargassner’s new double rotary valve guarantees a 100% burn-back protection. A constant amount of pellets fall through the double rotary valve and the stoker auger transports the pellets into the refractory-lined combustion chamber.
Pellet suction process during combustionThe double rotary valve with ventilation allows refilling during the regular combustion process meaning no loss of power and therefore optimum heat supply.
Pellet suction up to 20mThe Hargassner pellet vacuum turbine sucks the pellets into the hopper; either from an extracting auger, a single, double, three or four-point vacuum feeding system, or a bag silo. A hose length up to 20 m makes it easy to overcome architectural barriers and handle complex boiler and storage room combinations. Boiler prior to commissioning: The display of the Lambda Touchtronic shows an unheated wood log boiler. The accumulator and the hot water tank are cold.
Boiler full load: The display shows a boiler in operation. The accumu-lator and the hot water tank are being loaded and are already increasing temperature. The heating circuit pumps are on.
Boiler partial load: The boiler runs on half of its nominal heating output. The accumulator and hot water tank are completely loaded. The heating circuit pumps are on.
Hot-water storageIt is only necessary to set the desired hot water tank temperature and charging time. Your control unit will take care of the remaining steps automatically.
The minimum temperature control for the hot water system is a useful feature. The Lambda Touchtronic reacts immediately when the temperature of the hot water drops below the minimum temperature outside the programmed heating time. Advantage for you: hot water 24 hours a day.
The hot water system is heated according to prioritsation rules: traditionally, there is only one type of hot water system regulation: the domestic hot water system is cold, the heating circuit is switched off. Hargassner will never leave you out in the cold. If the water is cold, the heating is only reduced temporarily and the heating elements remain warm; there is no reduction in room temperature.
Control of the heating circuits ✔ The Lambda Touchtronic can control several independent heating
circuits. The client is able to define different settings in detail; e.g. indoor room temperature on all heating circuits, depending on time of day and outside temperature.
✔ Hargassner’s 3G day/night reduction mode enables the client to set 3 thresholds. One mode for ‘Heating during the day’, one for ‘Reduction during the day’ and one for ‘Reduction during the night’. As a result, the heating system only operates if necessary. This saves energy without sacrificing comfort.
✔ Through the ingenious residual heat use programme, the remaining energy in the boiler is used efficiently after the shutdown of the boiler.
Heating Time 1:6 a.m. - 9 a.m.Outside it is -7°C, so considerably less than the threshold value of +16°C - the heating switches on.
Day-reduced temperature: 9 a.m. - 3 p.m.Outside temperature increases to -1°C consid-erably less than the day time reduced tempera-ture threshold of +8°C. Heating day-reduced temperature operation.
Night-reduced temperature: 10 p.m. - 6 a.m.The temperature cools to -2°C, so above the threshold value for the night-reduced tem-perature of -5°C. The heating switches off.
Heating Time 2: 3 p.m. - 10 p.m.The outside tempera-ture climbs to +1°C; so considerably less than the threshold value of +16°C. The heating remains switched on.

Ease of operation through Touchtronic
Accumulator Control Option (PSP)During start up, the control sends the heat through a fast loading valve directly to the heating demand areas. As soon as the boiler starts storing the energy into the accumulator tank, the operation mode changes to partial load. As a result, the combustion time is extended and the heating comfort is increased. Solar: To combine wood logs with solar, Hargassner developed a handy function for the Touchtronic => an automatic ignition. First the hot water stored in the tank from solar-energy is used, before the biomass boiler fires up using automatic ignition.
Controlling External Boilers If desired, an additional external boiler, e.g. pellet, oil or gas boiler, may be integrated. The change over between the two boilers occurs fully automatically.

Example: A single house with a calculated heating load of 15kW needs, according to the formula, 13.50 m³. Room size: 2 x 3 x 2.2m (l x b x h).Because of the storage volume, you are able to buy pellets when they are the least expensive.
Installation:The pellet fill truck is equipped with a 50 m filling tube. The storage room may be up to 20 m away from the boiler room.
Storage room – RequirementsTo prevent swelling, the pellet storage room should be as dry as possible. Electrical installation is prohibited and water-carrying tubes should be avoided. To install the room extraction system and ensure maximum fire protection, a door has to be installed. Inside the door, Hargassner offers a door protection set to constantly monitor the pellet level.

Pellet boiler with RASRAS stands for “Room extraction Auger Suction”. This system is mostly used for large and elongated storage rooms. Distances up to 30m from the boiler room to the storage room can be overcome. The pellets are transported outside the storage room through the auger into the vacuum system. The special construction of the auger trough prevents overfilling and guarantees a constant delivery rate. As a result, the storage room will be emptied down to the last pellet. The suction points are installed in the middle of the room and accommodate complex room situations. Pellet boiler with GWTS XXLThe bag silo XXL is made of a static steel construction with an elastic floor element, including tension springs. If refilled, the springs get extended and the silo is filled to a maximum. Because of the steady emptying, the elastic construction gets pulled up, and after emptying the silo looks like a four-sided sloping floor. The bottom of the silo is water-resistant.
Extraction GWTS
Pellet boiler with GWTSHargassner’s bag silo represents a complete storage room solution. The silo can be placed (depending on building regulations) either inside or outside the boiler room. If installed outside, the silo has to have a stable floor and needs to be protected against UV-radiation and rain. Equipped with a single-position feeding system, the silo is made out of a special, high-quality, anti-static and dust-proof material. Because of this material, only one pellet fill socket is needed. Depending on the room height, the pellet fill socket can be installed above or below the easily assembled steel construction.

Underground Pellet Tank - PETAnother possibility for wood pellet storage is spherical underground tanks made of corrosion-resistant, fiberglass-reinforced polyester resin GFK. Highest operation safety, through a special safety package with full explosion protection for the vessel, is guaranteed. The patented extrac-tion system consists of a base body, all necessary connections for the filling, as well as connections for the suction process. A well-engineered extraction system provides 100 % usage of the sphere volume. The underground tank can be placed in the garden or under a driveway. The covers are accessible by foot or optionally by car or truck.

Concrete Heating Containers – best combination of plant room and storage room
Containers are available in single, double or triple design, according to requirements. Because of the modular construction, our containers are easily positioned, assembled and installed. The main advantage is the enormous space and cost saving, either in new or refurbished buildings. Concrete containers are especially useful for public build-ings, industrial enterprises, hotels or shared housing communities. Because of the comparatively low investment costs, Hargassner’s containers are also perfectly suited for heat contracting businesses.

A minimum of two sockets have to be installed in every storage room. One to fill and one to close the vacuum circuit. As a result, dustfree filling is guaranteed.

Hygienic-layered Accumulator HSPThrough the integrated return spreading sheet, the variable sensor positioning and the hygienic drinking water heating process, this accumulator guarantees efficient usage. A stainless steel pipe enables hygienic and legionella-safe drinking water heating with a high hot water output. A regular movement of the stainless steel pipes provides best protection against scaling.
Solar-layered SP-SW and Solar-hygienic-layered Accumulator HSP-SW This solar-layered accumulator is perfectly designed for Hargassner control and hydraulic schemes. Besides the integrated return spreading sheet and a variable sensor positoning, the accumulator carries highly-efficient solar heat exchanger(s). Optionally, the accumulator is available with bottom (SW1) or bottom and top (SW2) solar heat exchanger.
Layered Accumulator SPThis layered accumulator is perfectly designed for Hargassner control and hydraulic schemes. Through the integrated return spreading sheet, efficient accumulator usage is guaranteed. Integrated sensor strips enable easy and flexible installation and therefore optimize the hydraulic loading and unloading processes.
