PDA IN HEALTH AND SOCIAL CARE SUPERVISIONGet or renew your registration as a care supervisor

ContentThis PDA is recommended by SSSC for supervisors for re-registration purposes.Candidates will gain the knowledge and opportunity to reflect on the role of supervisor in a care setting. The course will cover relevant theories, role and responsibilities, promotion of sta� CPD, legal duties and promotion of safe e�ective care practice via supervision.

Entry RequirementsCandidates must be in a supervisory role in care employment to be able to undertake this qualification. This PDA is at SCQF level 7 so candidates must be able to write academically and carry out individual reading and research. There will be tutor support sessions available.

FormatPart-time course totalling 36 to 72 hours, including:

two academic units 12 evening college class sessions (Tuesdays or Thursdays, Greenock campus) eight half-day college class sessions over 16 weeks individual/distance learning formal written assignments

Bespoke delivery of the course can be provided for organisations with su�cient sta�.
