Beg with a knit row, work 2 rows in st st,
ending with RS facing for next row.
Next row: K4, work next 9 sts as set on row
1 of chart B, K3, work next 49 sts as set on
row 1 of chart C, K3, work next 9 sts as set
on row 1 of chart B, K4.
Next row: Purl.
Next row: K4, work next 9 sts as set on row
3 of chart B, K3, work next 49 sts as set on
row 3 of chart C, K3, work next 9 sts as set
on row 3 of chart B, K4.
Next row: Purl.
These 4 rows set chart placement.
Cont in patt as set, working rows 1 to 8 of
chart C once, then rows 9 to 36 three times,
then rows 37 to 48 once, ending with RS
facing for next row.
Cont as folls to create dividing patt:
Row 1: K4, work next 9 sts as appropriate
row of chart B, K55, work next 9 sts as
appropriate row of chart B, K4.
Row 2: Purl.
Rep these 2 rows once more.
Row 5: K4, work next 9 sts as appropriate
row of chart B, K2, (yfwd, Sl 1, K2tog, psso,
yfwd, K3) 8 times, yfwd, Sl 1, K2tog, psso,
yfwd, K2, work next 9 sts as appropriate

Place second lace panel as foll:
Next row: K4, work next 9 sts as set on row
1 of chart B, K3, work next 69 sts as set on
row 1 of chart C, K3, work next 9 sts as set
on row 1 of chart B, K4.
This row sets chart placement as before.
Cont in patt as set, working rows 1 to 8 of
chart 3 once, then rows 9 to 36 twice, then
rows 37 to 48 once, ending with RS facing

Leave sts on a holder and repeat from ** for
