a set of rules for conduct at meetings that allows everyone to be hear and to make decisions.

MotionMotion

a proposal that the entire membership takes action or stands on an issue.

When one makes a motion, he is just proposing an idea or suggestion for the group to take action.

QuorumQuorum

is the minimum number of members who must be present for business to be transacted.

Once a quorum is present, the meeting and business may proceed.

Quorum refers to the number of members present, not to the number of members voting.
