SCOUTS & YOUTH LEADERS SCOUT CAMP
Members of the Pakistan-U.S. AlumniNetwork (PUAN) in collaboration withPakistan Boy Scouts Association (PBSA)organized a three-day event, viz “2015
Young Leaders Scout Camp” from 12 to 14June 2015 at PBSA Headquarters inIslamabad wherein around 150 scoutsand members of alumni participated. TheCamp was aimed to involve youth andtheir communities in scouting activities.

During the three-day camp, participants
learned about leadership, teamwork, self-
reliance, and other scout core values.
All sessions regarding team building, rights
& responsibilities, Messenger of Peace,
Tent pitching, Go Perpendicular, Archery,
First Aid, U-Report and think about Your
Future Ideas were well designed and well
taken. The Campfire was also very well
organized and everybody enjoyed it.The activities of the camp were
remarkable, especially the visit of Mr.
Richard Olson, U.S. Ambassador to
Pakistan, who is an Eagle Scout. He took
keen interest in the MoP Activities and
participated in tent pitching competition.
His presence in the camp was of great
source of encouragement for the
organizer as well as for the campers.
During remarks to the camp participants,U.S. Ambassador Richard G. Olson said, “It
is encouraging to see so many youthinterested and engaged, much like myselfwhen I was in your age. The values andskills learned through the scoutingexperience transcend cultural andnational boundaries and it is great to seethem in action here today.” He also paidhomage to Quaid-e-Azam being the firstChief of Pakistan.The opening and closing ceremonies were

2ND NATIONAL YOUTH FORUM-2015 ATKARACHI2nd National Youth Forum held on 9th & 10th
June 2015 at Pakistan American Culture Center
(PACC) Karachi, organized by Youth Parliament
in collaboration with Sports & Youth Affairs
Department, Government of Sindh & Pakistan
Boy Scouts Association.
The Project Head of this forum was Mr. Rizwan
Jaffar National Commissioner Youth Affairs
PBSA & Chairman Youth Parliament.The objective of this National Youth Forum
was to bring youth of Pakistan from the Age of
17 to 25 (from all provinces) at one platform to
play the constructive & positive role in the
society.
This forum also made a bridge between Scouts
& Non Scouts Youth of country, work together
in future also as the “Messengers of PEACE”.This year theme of National Youth Forum was
“National Integrity”. Forum members elected
the Forum Chairman, Vice Chairman,
Secretary & Staring Committee of 20

Khan & Secretary Miss Rida Naseem Rana
presented the recommendations of Forum in

World Environment Day was celebrated on5 June 2015 all over the world to highlightthe importance of the healthier
environment.
On this occasion the Capital DevelopmentAuthority (CDA) arranged differentcolourful programmes which includedTheatre Performance, Awareness Walk,
Painting Competition, Painting Exhibition& Environment Expo and Seminar on“Combating Climate Change Impacts. Theawareness walk was participated bydifferent segments of society including alarge number of scouts, students, NGOs,officers and officials of CDA.
Member Environment Syed MustafainKazmi and other senior officers of CDAwere also present, while renownedtelevision artist, Nauman Ejaz especiallyparticipated in the walk. The participantsof the walk collected trash from Rose and

Memorial Ceremony at the site of WW1inBelgium and laid the flora wreath at thegraves of Muslim soldiers who sacrificedtheir lives during the WW1. The cadetsalongwith the students of partner schoolalso visit trenches and other sites of WW1.
The contingent visited Kings SchoolWorcester, a premier residential school inU K , w h e r e t h e y w e r e g i v e ncomprehensive briefing about the schooland the life style of the students at thecampus.They were also honoured to visit theBirmingham City Council Hall, where theywere welcomed by the Lord Mayor ofBirmingham.

NATIONAL MOP VISIT / VISIT OF MR. MUNIRAHMED, COMMISSIONER COORDINATION &INTEGRATION, PBSA
Mr. Munir Ahmed is visiting ProvincialAssociations to promote Peace & Harmony
now a days. He has visited Pakistan RailwaysBSA on 17.06.2015 Mr. Abdul Mannan APC andMr. Mustansar Ahmed Khan the SecretaryPakistan Railways BSA Lahore hosted the
event. The programme was successfullyconducted which was attended by 25members of Pakistan Railways where MianNaeem Zahoor Senior Scout Executive ofPakistan BSA was also requested to join for thediscussion of proposed agenda. The PHQofficials, APCS, members of team and the
District Scout Secretaries actively attended theProgramme.
Mr. Munir also visited Summer Training Centre
Ghora Gali on 24.06.2015. He addressed
different Groups & Forums. Mr. Muhammad
Adil Farooq Camp Commandant Ghora Gali
organized the programmes. Mr. Zahid
Mahboob from NHQ also participated in the
programme.
A programme at Ghora Gali Scout Nasheman
Murree Hills was also attended by 60 female
(Girls in Scouting) leaders and they took keen
interest in the programme and they ensured
enhance Scouting activities.
Main objective of this visit was to make the
Scouting visible, community based and
involvement of parents to promote the
Scouting.
In the coming days, such gatherings will also
be continued in PIA & Sindh BSA.

SCOUTING & UNICEF MOU ON U-REPORT
On the basis of Global Partnership ofWOSM and UNICEF, PBSA UNICEF Pakistanis taking initiative to launch a campaign /project on U-Report, which is alreadybeing practiced in some of the NationalScout Organization.
Initially, it has been proposed that pilottesting be organized in some of the
Districts of Sindh & Punjab. A meeting inthis regard was held at National
Headquarters, PBSA on 13 June, 2015which was attended by the following:

About 65 Scouts from Sialkot, Chakwal, KotAdu & Faisalabad participated.
