REMOTE MONITORINGSETUP GUIDE
HOW TO REMOTELY CONNECT TO YOUR MEDUSA DVR AND VIEW YOUR CAMERA’S FOOTAGE - NO PORT FORWARDING REQUIRED
Please follow the step-by-step instructions below on how to setup a connection from the DVR to one of three remote viewing interface methods provided by QVIS.
OPTION 1: VIA QVIS CLOUD

Connect display monitor, mouse, cameras, and an Internet connection using an Ethernet cable, to the
DVR. Then connect power supply to start device
bootup.
The Startup Wizard will appear on your display monitor. Please make a
note of the P2P ID number & Password (bottom left). It is recommended to create a new personal password
in the DVR’s Account settings.
Using a web browser on your PC, visit our P2P website:
www.qviscloud.co.ukIMPORTANT: Click on ‘Active Install’ to install
plugin to your browser to allow website to work.
Click on the ‘Device Login’ button and then type in the P2P ID number and password in to
the two input fields above.
If you have no issues with the internet connection to the DVR then you should now be able to remotely monitor your camera footage using the Qvis Cloud website!

OPTION 2: VIA SMART MOBILE APPSTEP 1

Connect display monitor, mouse, cameras, and an Internet connection using an Ethernet cable, to the
DVR. Then connect power supply to start device
bootup.
The Startup Wizard will appear on your display monitor. Depending
on whether your smart phone uses Android or Apple iOS, scan
the appropriate QR code on show on the screen and you will be taken to the App download page. Download and install the
mobile app:
IMSeye
Once installed, open it up and
press the button:‘Click to add
device’
If you have no issues with the internet connection to the DVR then you should now be able to remotely monitor your camera footage using the IMSeye remote monitoring app!

Provide a device name, select ‘P2P’, press the
small QR code icon and scan the QR code found on ‘STEP 2 NET SET’, which
is the next step on the Startup Wizard.
Your Medusa DVR will now be
shown on the list along with a list of camera channels to
choose from.
The video channel display screen will then
allow you to view the cameras

Once you have fully booted up the DVR (beyond the Setup Wizard), you will need to go to the P2P tab withing the ‘Network’ Menu. To do this follow the instructions below:
You now need to access your router’s setup interface to input the 3000 port number (input fields are usually named ‘TCP’ and found in the advanced settings of the interface). Please refer to your router’s manual for details on how to ‘Port Forward’.
If you have no issues with the internet connection to the DVR then you should now be able to remotely monitor your camera footage using the Qvis remote client interface!

Right Click on the screen and select the ‘Main Menu’ option.
Select/Click on: ‘Configuration’
Select/Click on: ‘Network’
Select/Click on: ‘P2P’ tab within this menu.
Input 3000 in to the Local Port field. Take note of
the IP address, found on the Base tab.
In the address bar on your Internet Explorer Browser window, type in the IP address assigned to the DVR (This is the IP address you’ve taken note of in Step 2).
The Login screen should appear in the browser. Input the User Name and Password you use to access the DVR normally.

IMPORTANT - PLEASE READFree subscription and use of the Qvis Cloud P2P remote monitoring website (As shown and explained on Page 1) will expire after 12 months – once that 12 month period has expired, an annual one off subscription charge will be issued to the user who has access to the account on the website. If you do not pay for this subscription fee the registered account on the website will be not be able to connect to
the Medusa DVR(s) that is/are setup on the account.
If you do not wish to pay for the subscription to continue using the Qvis Cloud Website, but you would still wish to remotely access the DVR to
monitor footage via the Internet Explorer web browser on your PC, please follow the simple steps to setup the connection on Option 3: Web Client
(Page 3).
• Please operate the DVR in a location where the temperature and humidy levels fall within the device’s environmental limits.
• Place the product in a flat horizontal location so that it does not suffer the risk of falling away from its position (unless fixed into place).
• Install the DVR in a well-ventilated place and make sure the air vent is not blocked.• Do not place containers filled with liquid on the device.
NOTE: When accessing www.qviscloud.co.uk using the IE browser, if it shows “ActiveX is not registered”, please modify the browser’s security settings (refer to operation manual) or setup up an exception in you anti-virus software to allow it to work. Please install and activate Quicktime Player if you are using Chrome, Firefox, Safari web browser to access your DV.
