- is a systematic process where by an individual or organization takes action to make the best decision and select the best option among the alternatives in order to achieve the desired goals.

Types of PlanningStrategic Planning

- A systematic process of envisioning a desired future and translating this vision into broadly defined goals and objectives, and a sequence of steps to achieve them.

- Usually made at the top-level management.

Short-term goal - serves as the stepping stone for you to accomplish your Long-term goal.- it takes a day, weeks, months, and even a year.

Objectivesare the specific steps you need to

take in order to reach each of your goals. They specify what you must do.

Mostly your goals, strategies and objectives are anchored in your mission statement.

- Involves the systematic determination and scheduling of the immediate or short term activities required in achieving the goals of strategic planning.
