Output devices
Output devices is the information we obtain from the computer’s devices.
Example of output devices:
MONITOR
Use to: display text and pictures.
MONITOR TYPES
CRT (Cathode Ray Tube)
LCD (Liquid Crystal Display)
Microfilm or microficheA microfilm is film available in forms of reels
while the card-sized sheets are called microfiche.
Advantages: Large amount of data can be stored. Much faster to store a large amount of data on
a microfilm than printing it on paper. Microfilms can last longer than disks.
PRINTER
Use to: produce printed output on papers which is also known as the hardcopy.
TYPES OF QUALITY

TYPES OF PRINTER Dot-matrix A printer that consists of a print head with a
number of pins and these pins move in and out to print on
fanfold paper. InkjetA printer that uses melted coloured wax and is extremely quite, light weight and quite reliable. LaserA printer that prints image by transferring ‘ink
powder’ onto a piece of paper using a laser beam.
