OUR TRIP IN INDIA

• A one-day cruise in a traditional boat on the backwater.

• Tea time on board! Claudine, Delphine and Judicaël discovering Indian nature.

• Chinese fishing net: one fishing technique brought by Chinese people.

• A flamboyant tree in bloom. In May, it’s Summer in India.

• Vasco de Gama’s tomb in a catholic church, evidence of the presence of the Portuguese in Kerala in the past.

• At the airport, leaving Cochin to go to Mysore.

• Visiting the primary school where we worked for the children living in a place in Mysore called Palya.

• It’s a big traditional market where we can find everything. Here flower garlands.

• Sacred cows eating rubbish. In India, there is a lot of pollution.

• Chamundi Hill temple where many people go on pilgrimage.

• Some of the students asked for blessings at the hindu temple.

• The very beautiful Maharadja Palace illuminated every Sunday for an hour.

• In front of the Maharadja Palace with the bus driver and his son.

• We painted seven classrooms. It was a difficult but useful work!

• The classrrooms after being painted. We did a great job!

• Two students, Etienne and Christopher, at lunch time at the school. The food was too spicy!

• We played football at the school with the Indian pupils. We had a beautiful time!

• It’s a ceremony organized by the school teachers to thank us for the work. They gave us flower garlands.

• The end of the stay at the farm. Bye bye Mysore! Let’s go to Mumbaï!

• In the bus, Mumbaï here we are!

• Mumbaï University with its English architecture. Victoria Station with millions of passengers everyday.

• A double decker bus, showing that in the past India was British.

• A wash place in a slum. Poverty is a major problem in India.

Gandhi Museum in his house in Mumbaï. He is a real symbol of India.

• The India Gate, built to welcome Queen Victoria.
