About the OHCAThe Ontario Home Care Association is an organization of

home health and social care service providers and serves as the voice of home care in Ontario

• provide home care services throughout rural and urban Ontario.

• providing high-quality, accessible health care for over 40 years to both government-funded home care programs and individuals.

Services They deliver :Nursing care,Home support services,Personal care, Physiotherapy,Occupational therapy, Social work,Dietetics,Speech language therapy and medical

equipment in the home

STRUCTUREThe membership of OHCA is comprised

46 regular members & 20 associate members, including CCACs

According to 2009 survey, OHCA members 35,000 staff members serves the 3,00,000 ontarians

The coordination/integration of home and community care requires:

Shared ownership of home and community care by all members of the care team

Shared knowledge, understanding and advocacy for the role and contribution of each member of the care team

Effective working relationships among members of the care team

Information systems which link the members of the care team
