With The Living Press, you can
choose from dozens of new
communications, PR and publicity service projects every month at organizations
located across the United States.
Projects take place at traditional
locations like client work sites as well “at home” using
your own computer and phone – and
involve meaningful, direct and hands-on activities that allow you to see the value
of your work.
The Living Press brings vital volunteer and PR
support to a broad range of nonprofit agencies, arts
and public service organizations across the
United States.
The Living Press focuses on filling
volunteer opportunities from
organizations striving to provide critical education, environmental, or human services
needs.

How it Works
Once you have registered by
sending in your volunteer profile
form, you can view and sign up for any
of our listed volunteer
opportunities.

Two Types of Opportunities
- Ongoing Volunteer Programs- From 3 months to a year
- Short Term Volunteer Opportunities- From one week to 3
months

- An opportunity for you to promote yourself
- The first step to becoming a Living Press Volunteer “Star”
- An important tool that The Living Press uses to match our volunteers' skills and interests with potential project assignments.
Volunteer Profile
• All potential Living Press volunteers fill out a Volunteer Profile Form.
• This form asks for your contact information, interests and preferences. We would also appreciate a copy of your resume or CV.
• Reminder: Completion of the Volunteer Profile form is the first step in the volunteer placement process and does not guarantee an assignment.

– Once open, fill in the information– Save the file using the file name:

Getting started as a Living Press professional
volunteer is easy!
Twice a month, you will receive an email detailing dozens of short term and long
term project opportunities for PR
and Communications
specialists.
Once you have found a
project that interests you, contact that
opportunity manager to sign up by emailing
TheLivingPress@gmail.com
If you discover that you
cannot do the project after signing up please
contact the project manager at The Living
Press by emailing TheLivingPress@gmail.com
Also email your client contact and let them
know as well.
Once assigned, a client
representative will tell you more about
the organization, your publicity,
communications, PR or social media duties and put you to work!
The Living Press “Hot Projects” bi-monthly email, website, and
Twitter account provides helpful hints and suggested guidelines
for how to manage your PR, Communications, and social
media tasks.
We also love to hear your ideas – don’t be shy! Email your
