• 3 types of data import– Manual– Batch – Sushi

• Support for counter and non counter publishers• Manual adjust in some providers

Manual Import

• Files are located in the server • File specific name : institution_id.csv (ex: 500.csv)• 2 Log files (global and file specific)• Backup file without changes for preservation

Batch Import

• Publishers don’t have yet this feature.

• Mandatory to define :– Provider (url)– Institution (username, password, sushi ID)

• Can be run as :– batch mode– Cron job

• Keeps a state of the last result (OK, Not OK)• Only imports data from the last successful run• 2 log files

• Process of passing imported data into the data warehouse

• The data warehouse contains 2 fact and 6 dimensions tables

• Time consuming process

• Presents the first 100 journals with zero downloads in a period

• Number of downloads / Nr titles• Grouped by Provider

Average usage per title

• Nr Downloads / Nr FTE• Grouped by year

Average Use per FTE

• Run in batch mode• Overlap is made with the ISSN• Produces 1 html file with:

– Matrix with the titles common between providers– List of titles that are overlap

• Recommendations– Overlap between Provider and Aggregator should not as much

importance– The overlap does not check if the title has changed publisher in a

time period
