Refit Project: “Jollymon”1968 Chris Craft Roamer Riviera ExpressAluminum hullFord 427 enginesStiles, Wisconsin

I am in love with the lines of this boat…When first purchased she was white with a royal blue stripe…I prefer

the classic feel of a dark hull…

The ceiling before…and after, with detail on the new LED lighting fixtures…

New companionway steps, (the old ones didn’t have storage underneath), crafted of cherry, mahogany, black walnut treads, white maple plugs…

New aft deck when we made it two winters ago…cedar, white maple inserts, black walnut plugs, reclaimed mahogany from the old deck, treated with cedarcide and three coats of spar varnish when done, it has held up wonderfully, despite lots of warnings from those who thought we should have just gone with fiberglass and be done with it.

New, all circuit-breaker electrical panel, complete with indicator lights and battery monitor gauges, sold to me by a commander owner who robbed engines off another boat…this is still being worked on…(April 2010)

V-berth gets a makeover as well, there was no insulation so we added some…throughout the entire interior of the boat…

…followed by new paneling, most of which, unfortunately, won’t be seen behind the new cabinetry…
