“ON MISSION FOR JESUS”

I. MISSION NEEDS: “GO” II. MISSION NEEDS : 6 “HOW TO’S” III. MISSION NEEDS: OBEDIENCE

BIG IDEA:“ I am a Missionary on Mission for Jesus”

Parable of a president of an insurance company

We thought we were only to

JUST study the letter!”

Not just hearers but doers of the Bible

The church has the same problem. Just get together & study the Bible and not obey!

As Jesus left the earth he told us what to be doing until He returned.

His Great Command/Commission.

His main responsibility for the church =

“THE MISSION”

Commission :Definition “A group of people authorized to carry out a duty(Mission)”

Great Commission = “Great” because the Mission is so important to God and to the entire dying hell bound world. Eternal Consequences .

Every Believer is a “Missionary”Believers are “On Mission For Jesus”

I. MISSION NEEDS: “GO”

Need both evangelism and discipleship.

Jesus last words were not about coming together But GOING OUT!Where would you find them? How many chapters in matt or mark?

Matthew 28:18-20 “Go and Make Disciples “

Mark 16:15 “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation”

Acts 1:8

But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you and you will be my

witnesses both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea, and Samaria, and even to the remotest part of the earth.

2Cor 5:18-20

Now all these things are from God, who reconciled us to Himself through Christ and

gave us the ministry of reconciliation. namely, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and He has

committed to us the word of reconciliation.

Vs 20 Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were making an

appeal through us, we beg you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God.”

The Mission to be a Missionary/ Ambassador is not optional but MANDATORY!
