Offshore Support Group (OSG)
The Offshore Support Group carry out various operations, movements and tasks
of a “Special” or sensitive nature, specialising in military movements and tactics,
rescue operations and security details. The group consists of some of the highest
trained and most skilled professionals in operation today.
The Offshore Support Group or OSG is a versatile group that has the capability to
adapt and operate in both a marine and land based role.
The Offshore Support Group (OSG) has three
Operational Squadrons which specialise in
different areas. The Squadrons are as follows:
Tactical Squadron: Specialises in Maritime
Counter Terrorism, Offshore Platform Defence
Procedures and Project Risk Mitigation. The
squadron is also responsible for configuring the
tactical and operational structure of new
projects.
A Squadron: Specialise in active Operations, Movements and Specialist Tasks of a
maritime nature. The squadron is an amphibious unit and capable of carrying out
operating on land. A Squadron often train and operate with SMS Ltd Sea Marshals.
B Squadron: Specialise in the use of Marine and Maritime Assets for Tactical
Military and Private Security Operations of a Specialist Nature.
