Software Updates
Offline analysis code is located in
the SPD account on the LXPLUS cluster
(standard password). Other
software available by mail request –
also installed in the lab computers

Threshold Scan Analysis – M.C. Version
Selectable number of chips (1-10)
Many changes in the underlying ROOT macros (25 files)

Decoder Tool
For decoding raw data and consistency checks
Given a Test Beam raw data file as input, it creates a web page
with graphical hit information for a selectable number of events

Test Beam 2002 Web – elogbookElectronic logbook with connections to
Microsoft Access database via
ASP/VBScript – supplement to paper
logbook, not yet replacement
HOWEVER
Compared to paper logbook, elogbook is in
many ways superior
E.g. easy access – world wide but can be IP
restricted, no need to make paper copies,
searchable, cheap color pictures!!!, etc..

Offline AnalysisIn collaboration with Karoly Banicz
• Code written by Karoly• Major upgrade from last year (3 planes N planes)• NEW: Can now be run in batch mode that will disable the histogram displays and the interactive root session
lxplus > bsub TestBeam –batch input.parJob <141374> is submitted to default queue <8nm>
To view status of submitted job:lxplus > bjobs 141374JOBID USER STAT QUEUE FROM_HOST EXEC_HOST JOB_NAME SUBMIT_TIME141374 pnilsso EXIT 8nm lxplus063 lxbatch545 *h input.par Oct 5 21:01
Output data file is stored where specified in the input.par file. When the job is finished, LSF will send an email to the user.
• Code is stored in the SPD account on the LXPLUS, in the ~/analysis/release directory. Will only run on a Linux system• Information/help on how to run the analysis code can be found in the accompanying README file

Offline Analysis - Efficiency
UNDER INVESTIGATION…
Elusive FIFO shifts prevent us from making nice plots
Handpicked burst with no obvious shift show an efficiency of ~99.6%
