Obesity in AmericaGrades: 9th-12th

By: Matthew Kerekish

The problem of childhood obesity in the United States has grown considerably in the recent years.

Obesity has tripled in the last thirty years.

Obesity is among the easiest medical conditions to recognize, but most difficult to treat.

Two thirds, more than 190 million Americans are overweight and obese.

By taking up physical exercise early in life, people who are battling obesity have the advantage of a leaner, stronger figure, with lower risks of obesity.

Anyone can prevent obesity by staying active, eat healthy foods, plenty of exercise, drink plenty of water, eat enough portions.
