October has been a busy month around town. Several of our member non-profits have had large, successful events – Habitat for Humanity, Kiwanis Club of Saline County, Saline County Boys and Girls Club, and Civitan Services. In addition, your chamber has hosted two events, Savor the Flavor and Saline County Business Expo. Thank you to all sponsors, restaurants, vendors, and all of you who attended these great events.
As we look toward November, your Chamber and Saline Memorial Health Foundation are working hard to bring you the fifth annual glitz and garland on November 13-14. Get ready for a great shopping experience!
Also, this month the Chamber is planning for 2016. We are seeking nominations for our Board of Directors. This board is a very active group. Board members chair most of the Chamber committees, work at the events, survey our physical plant, and scrutinize the budget and expenses. It is a great opportunity to use your talents to help provide opportunities for further growth of our business community. If you feel the need to serve, or if you know someone who would be a good board member, I invite you to send an email to Executive Director Gary James at gjames@bentonchamber.com
