Precisionism emerged after WWI. It was the most popularduring the 1920s and the early 1930s

Precisionism celebrated the new American landscape of skyscrapers,bridges, and factories.

The Precisionists separated themselves from European influences.They wanted to show distinctly American subjects.

Demuth was also influenced by Cubism.

Cubism breaks things down to its simplest forms.
