support ? Most neglected and stigmatized people, Marginalized and
pushed to the extremes, Exclusion from family and society, Lack of
protection from violence, Restricted access to education; health
services; & public spaces, Exclusion from economy, Exclusion
from employment and livelihood opportunities, Restricted rights of
citizenship, Restricted participation in decision-making
processes.
- 4. LAKSHYA TRUST Inception in 2000, Working on the issue of MSM
(men having sex with men), Commanding three(3) major cities of
Gujrat state of India- Vadodara, Surat and Rajkot, More than 179
PEs (Peer Educators), A project team of 83 personnels, Promotion of
Scientific researches thus increasing safe sex and health seeking
behaviors, National Surveillance Site,
- 5. Ageing with Pride- LGBT Seniors. The old age home for- LGBT
Srs.- Prince Manavendra Singh Gohil, Focus on Young age- Who
disinherited from their homes, Srs. LGBTs do not have access to
Health Insurance or Ration Card, Voice against Domestic Violence,
Financial support, Medical and Health Care.
- 6. SANGAMA FOUNDATION Organization for individuals oppressed
due to their sexual preference, Founded in 1999, under Karnataka
Societies Registration Act-1960, Operating in Bangalore in addition
to Mysore, also operates in Trichur, Calicut and Trivandrum in
Kerela and Krishnagiri in Tamilnadu, Bilingual organization-
Kannada & English, Emphasize the concerns of sexuality
minorities, Sexualities minorities rights with information and
education,
- 7. Services Clinical services, Bangalore- Head office plus
four(4) zones, Each zones having trained counselors, Care, Support,
Information and Referral Services, DIC- Drop-in Centers, Provide
Information, Support and Resources, Games, Cultural events,
Television programs and Competition such as Rangoli, cont.
- 8. Screening of Documentary films, Cinema and Workshop
Discussions, Library, Legal and Advocacy support, Production of
Films: 1-Many People Many Desires, 2- A Human Question.
- 9. THE HUMSAFAR TRUST HST was set up in 1994, Three men in a
Chai-shop decided, they needed a support system for Gay men and Men
who like other Men, Work involves- Sexuality, Gender, Health &
Human Rights, Huge family of 266 people working full time and peers
on 23 projects, In Dec. 1994, HST organized Indias first ever
conference of the Gay community,
- 10. Advocacy, Bombay Dost- 1st registered LGBT magazine
launched in 1990 Workshops on Fridays, The Humsafar Way- community
mobilization & Awareness building, Humsafar Centre &
Health-related Projects, Counseling and Voice Mail Help Line, Care
& Support Program, The Nutrition Program, Humsafar Parivar
Credit Society.
- 11. SARODARI FOUNDATION Formally registered the organization in
July, 2008. Run by a TG woman- Kalki Subramanaium, Self-funded,
Projects: A) Butterflies Project, B) LPAT (Liberation performing
Arts Troup), C) Project Kalki, D) Thirunangai- Matrimonial Site for
TGs,
- 12. Issues they work on: Discrimination, Employment, Education,
Homelessness, HIV Care and Hygiene, Depression and Low Self Esteem,
Hormone Pill, Tobacco and Alcohol Abuse, Penectomy, Marriage and
Adoption, Documentation problem, Ageing, Female to Male TG
people.

March.- The Hindu. Scholarss Sensitizati on Seminar for the media
