PRINCIPAL’S PATTER
Hello everyone,
A big thank you to all our parents and grandparents etc., who came along
to our ‘open afternoon’ at the end of last term. It was terrific to see so many
of our parents taking the opportunity to visit their child/ren’s classrooms to
view their work and collect their semester one reports. I would like to thank
all our students and staff for their efforts for the wonderful presentation in
their classrooms art room etc.
During the ‘Open Afternoon’ we also had the Edu-Dance concert where
the students from P–5 performed beautifully.
Many thanks to all our parents etc. for their great support – much
appreciated. Thanks also to Miss Brown for teaching the students the dance
steps etc., Miss Ridley for comparing the concert and a very special thanks
to Ms Stewart for co-ordinating the event.
We also had a cake stall run by our P & C which raised approximately
$750.00 - a fantastic result! Many thanks to everyone for your superb cake
making skills!!
Finally, along with our Book Week and athletics etc. this term, we look
forward to our School Choir performing at the Massed Choir Festival to be
held at the Perth Concert Hall on Thursday evening, 21 September.
Have an enjoyable weekend.

WE COULDN’T HAVE DONE IT WITHOUT YOU!!
What is Determination? Determination is focusing your energy and efforts on a task and then sticking with it until it is finished. Determination is using your will power to do something when it isn’t easy. You are determined to meet your goals. Even when it is really hard, or you are being tested, you still keep going.
Why Practise It? Without determination, things don’t get done. People give up easily and don’t ask for help when they need it. With determination, even the hardest task becomes a challenge we are willing to accept. We do things that matter in the world. With determination, we can make our dreams come true.
Signs of Success Congratulations! You are practising Determination when you:
• believe what you are doing is important
• set goals for yourself
• focus your attention on what you are doing
• resist being distracted
• keep going if it gets difficult
• ask for help when you need it
• finish what you start
