Agrana Fruit Mexico (AFM): Alejandro, thank you very much for your time, Could you share your experience encouraging innovation in the company?

Alejandro Genis (AG): My experience with the personnel accepting innovation as part of our culture has been satisfying, attitude is an important part and our personnel is aware that the development

and growth of the business depends on our ability to innovate, because this gives us important competitive advantages.

AFM: Which are the main factors that drove Agrana to invest in the Dry-infused fruit facility?AG: One of the factors that drove Agrana to invest in innovating processes or services is that we believe that our company's sustainability and development can not be based only on productive factors or on one type of product, this is why we ventured into the fruit preps for bakery market and now into the dry-infused fruit, which have an important demand due to the nutritional properties contained in them.

AFM: Which aspects would you highlight in the launch of the new Dry-infused Fruits facility in Jacona, Michoacan?AG: One of the most relevant aspects in order for the launch to be made on schedule is the enthusiasm and attitude of the Innovation, Projects and Packing Staff. Being a corporate interest in innovating projects, an important part that commits us to continue working in the creation or modification of a product, process or service and its introduction in the added value market, which is easily perceived by the consumer.

Agrana in favorof sustainability

“Photovoltaic System Installation”

Did you know that Agrana is installing a photovoltaic system to promote sustainability?

One of the actions that Agrana has taken in favor of sustainability is the installation of a roof in the parking lot with solar panels, strategically oriented to capture the sun's influence.

The purpose is to generate solar energy through a system of panels or solar cells obtaining benefits as:Ÿ Generation of 100kw/hr dedicated to lightingŸ Shade for some vehicles.

“According to the geographic location of our zone and the sun's movement from east to west, the installation of the solar panels will have an inclination of 20°, with this we

additionally benefit with a partial shade”.
