Drop Box Tool

Creates a course-specific personal folder for each student. Instructor can access all drop boxes in a class.● Students store homework, labs, essay drafts,

projects, journals – instructors add feedback.● Upload text, images, sound, video, etc.● Organize in folders and subfolders● All items are time-stamped

Drop Box vs. Assignments

● One drop box, many assignments● Assignments connect to the Gradebook● Assignments have open and close dates● It’s easier to browse through drop boxes● Downloading drop boxes is generally easier

○ Downloading a specific activity may be easier in the Assignment tool

Adds rubric functionality to the Gradebook tool.1. Create a Gradebook item in Sakai2. Build a rubric in iRubric3. Attach the rubric to the gradebook item4. Use the rubric to provide feedback
