Media on Facebook• You can share both photos and videos on

Facebook.• You can “tag” your friends in photos and

videos.

What is tagging and how does it work?

• When you tag someone, you create a link to their Timeline. The post you tag the person in may also be added to that person’s Timeline. For example, you can tag a photo to show who’s in the photo or post a status update and say who you’re with. If you tag a friend in your status update, anyone who sees that update can click on your friend’s name and go to their Timeline. Your status update may also show up on that friend’s Timeline.

Alternatively

Tagging• Click on a photo, click on the face… Tag!

Untag• Click on the photo of you, “remove tag”

Untag

@ sign for tagging

• You can tag a friend with the “@” sign followed by their name.

• E.g. @Robin Low• Facebook will give you a list of friends to pick

to tag on status.

Difference

Difference

Other things to take note

• Facebook is big and growing, so rules and updates and change is still occurring

• Nothing magical or hard about Facebook, just a medium of communication

• Have an open mind, lots of thing to explore on Facebook

• Trolls exist and lurk around the corner, but you can always ignore them

Other things to take note

• Facebook is there most of the time - 24/7• Posts are asynchronous.• You can always find a friend to chat with, but it

may take time for them to respond.• You can always share your wisdom anytime

you want and its fun to see the response.

THANK YOU!

I’m interested what else you are using Facebook for, so lets keep in contact!
