NAIL GUNS – ISSUES & REMEDIES
FINISHING GUN NAIL JAM CLEARANCE
Step 1Remove battery from tool to ensure it can not be activated during this process
Step 2 As an extra precaution turn the trigger lock on
Step 3• If possible remove nails from magazine
• Be sure not to force them out to avoid damaging the tool
Step 4Lift the lock lever for access to the top of the nail magazine
Step 5Open up access to top of magazine and clear nail jam
FRAMING GUN JAM CLEAR
Step 1Remove battery from tool to ensure it can not be activated during this process
Step 2 As an extra precaution turn the trigger lock on
Step 3• If possible remove nails from magazine
• Be sure not to force them out to avoid damaging the tool
Step 4
• Find a 4mm allen key, this will be required for the jam clearing process on the NR1890DBCL
Step 5
• Undo the 3 socket cap screws shown in the pictures, this will allow for the magazine to be removed
Step 5 cont. • Magazine removed
Step 6
• Make sure any dirt/grime is cleaned out of the nail guide on the gun
• DO NOT LUBRICATE THIS PART
Step 7
• Clear jammed nail/s
• Make sure any dirt/grime cleaned off too – use a rag or compressed air
• DO NOT LUBRICATE THIS PART
Magazine cleaning
Step 1 – Remove the nails
Step 2 – If available compressed air is the most simple solution for
cleaning the magazine, be as thorough as possible
Step 3 – If no compressed air is available or if the
magazine is really dirty degreaser is a good option for cleaning –BUT MUST BE DRIED OFF BEFORE USE
Step 4 – Give it a thorough spray with the degreaser
Step 5 – dry off the degreaser, use compressed air (if
available or a rag and air dry
