Country Study on global AGEing and adult health (SAGE). The Study compiles comprehensive longitudinal information on the health and well-being of adult populations and the ageing process from six countries: China, Ghana, India, Mexico, Russian Federation and South Africa. Research on productive engagement and psychological well-being among older Chinese retirees.

2012- Principal Investigator. Secondary research on the National Health and Aging Trends Study (NHATS). NHATS is a US national longitudinal study that provides the basis for understanding trends in late-life functioning, how these differ for various population subgroups, and the economic and social consequences of aging for individuals, families, and society. The research examines the correlation between social participation and internet connection and quality of life indicators.
2012- Principal Investigator. Secondary research on the China Health and Retirement
Longitudinal Study, (CHARLS), 2011. CHARLS is being fielded in 2011 and includes about 10,000 households and 17,500 individuals in 150 counties/districts and 450 villages/resident committees in China. This research explores productive engagement in later life among well and frail elderly populations in China.
2012- Principal Investigator. Secondary research on the World Health Survey (WHS), 2011.
WHS, was conducted by WHO, has been completed in 70 countries and the data sets have been cleaned and weighted and prepared for analysis. This research focuses on social participation and health outcomes.
2011-2015 Principal Investigator. Secondary research on the Religion, Aging, and Health Survey
(RAHS), 2004. This research examines the association between spirituality/religiosity and psychological well-being among older Americans aged 65 and over living in the community.
2011-2013 Co-Principal Investigator. International Conference project on” Productive Aging in
