avannah truly is a city rich inhistory, charm, and southernhospitality and what a wonderful place to hold AVA's 19thannual conference! Whetheryou rode the ferry, viewed the
architecturally distinct buildings, or justenjoyed networking with your colleagues, the AVA conference was the place to be.
We had attendees from across the country and as far away as the UK. Our keynotespeaker, Madge Buus-Frank RNC, MS,ARNP, opened this year's meeting with herinsightful presentation on "Health CareTrends 2020." Our conference theme of"Moving Forward with Innovation and Collaboration" was evidenced throughout manysessions. Multidisciplinary sessions rangedfrom catheter related bloodstream infection, vein anatomy, disaster response, publishingand ultrasound workshops. A spectrum oftopics was included in the roundtable andposter presentations, from neonatal to adult.
