How do cathedrals show what Christians believe about God?How do they show that Christians believe God is worth worshipping?

We are going to look at Church architecture and try to answer the questions:

Cathedral Buildings Speak of God’s power and of human

creativity.

The Cross shape: represents God’s

love.

Show God’s love through Jesus.

The difference between the cross and the crucifix

is that we remember Christ crucified when we look upon the crucifix,

and Christ risen when we look upon a plain cross.

We have looked at how the building and the things in it are a response to

God. We are now going to look at what goes on in the building.

Cathedrals and churches are built so that Christians can meet together to worship God.

This is often done through music.
