What we did this month
We are happy that EIZO, our long-time partner, has appreciated our efforts and gave us an
award for “endeavour.” We are proud to be working with the best producer of high quality
monitors for various professionals.
This month multiple accessories, that we are proud to distribute in Poland, have received a huge
boost test-wise. Fitbit Flex has obliterated Jawbone UP and Nike Fuelband, and Bitdefender
Mobile Security has defended its place as the number one security solution for mobile
accessories.
As always, we were present at trade fairs, conferences and offered workshops to our business
partners. We have expanded our portfolio with Iron Key, encrypted flash drives, which keep our
work and data safe. This is also our official way of saying hello to Iron Key team. We thank you
for believing in Alstor.
Just like last month, we always try to co-operate with YouTube influencers. Not only that, but
we are slowly trying to communicate with Polish blogosphere in order to broaden our market
reach and showcase our products in places we haven’t been able to do so in the past.
However, this month’s biggest news is our close co-operation with a huge Polish start-up called
Reconti, which is a game changer in the fitness mobile applications sector.

Alstor − an award winning company
Alstor has received this award for ENDEAVOUR, because when in 2012 the YEN/PLN exchange
rate was at its highest level for the last 20 years, we did not lose any of our EIZO Premium
Partners in Poland who have sold EIZO via an active POS concept called EIZO Miniature Gallery.
This proves that a passionate, well trained channel, which is well supported by the vendor and
his top quality product line, and a 100% focused VAD can even survive under very bad economic
circumstances and wait for better times i.e. 2013 where the YEN/PLN relation has again
improved by over 30%.
The award was a present to Mr. Adam Zwierzynski (CEO) and Mr. Pawel Waszniewski (PM) from
Mr. Yoshitaka Jitsumori the CEO of EIZO.

Heritage Fair with Graphtec, Fujitsu and EIZO
There was no chance that we would not go to Heritage Fair with our products, which represent
quality, innovation, but at the same time remember about their roots and can also help preserve
some of our memories.

Alstor means knowledge and technology
As Alstor has always been regarded as a Value Add Distributor specializing in Storage products,
journalists from IT magazines contact us directly looking for information. In our team, we have
very experienced engineers with a broad product and technical knowledge. They often act as
market influencers and their comments are published in reseller magazines.

Magic Cube Epic is EPIC
Magic Cube Epic has finally entered the Polish market and what an entrance it was. It is being
tested by the biggest tech magazines and websites in Poland including the Polish version of
Computer Bild (both paper and online version). The amount of people who were interested in it
has exceeded our expectations and we had to make a line for those who were interested in
reviewing it.
We are still waiting for the final tests to be published, which will happen at the beginning of
October. Keep your fingers crossed! All together we are looking at least 5-8 million reach.

Trade fair in Kielce
Last month we have informed you that we were going to a 21st International Defence Industry
Exhibition in Kielce; the biggest international military trade fair in Poland. Although it was not
the main attraction, our mobile accessories certainly gathered a lot of attention from the
attendees according to our Sales Department.

IFA – Consumer Electronics Unlimited
Alstor had its representatives at IFA this year, which we
believe was noted by you, our business partners. Our
team in Berlin had plenty of business meetings and was
looking for new opportunities for the Polish market. If
you met them, you know how passionate they are
about the products we sell and how eager they are to
develop new business opportunities for Alstor.
We are also highly recognized for our activities in
Poland and Marek Krok, our Senior Product Manager,
have been interviewed during trade fair.

We are entering Polish fitness market
Reconti is a Polish start-up, which offers an amazing platform for all fitness fans out there. We
are supporting them with some of our products such as Fitbit and Withings. Not only that, but
we also communicate on all levels trying to help their brand grow and be a part of their
inevitable success.
Fitness culture is constantly growing in Poland that is why it is important for us to look for new
business opportunities, because that is what we do best. We have just began our talks with Pure
Jatomi Fitness – the fastest growing gym chain in Europe. They want Fitbit and we exactly know
why.

Iron Key enters the Polish market
We are happy to announce that The IronKey™ finally hit the market. What it does is, “protect
your critical data by keeping encryption key management on the device, where it’s safe and
protected.” This is an amazing device for anybody who needs 100% protection and is constantly
on the move.

CA ARCserve
Popular brand on the backup solution markets, proudly represented in Poland by Alstor, has
released an update for their CA ARCserve Backup system, which is recognized for its “high
performance backup with data deduplication, centralized management, and granular restore –
for physical and virtual servers”.

Fitbit kills the competition
We are proud to announce that one of our products, Fitbit Flex, completely dominated its
competitors in a huge test organized by the Polish version of Computer Bild, which covers over
50% of Polish tech market share. We topped brands such as JAWBONE UP and NIKE FUELBAND.
We have received 6/6 for the battery, goals control and motivation. This is a huge win for Fitbit.
Not only that, but due to our efforts we have been noticed by popular tech websites such as
Antyweb – one of the two tech giants websites in Poland. Oh, and did we forget to mention that
bloggers love Fitbit as well?

Bitdefender left the competition dumbfounded
Bitdefender Mobile Security became number one in the official test of Computer Bild Poland. We
have crushed eScan, Trend Micro, Symantec and Avast.

Sphero constantly moving forward
Next to Computer BILD, which reviewed Sphero last month, there is also CHIP.pl – second
biggest tech magazine in our country. Guess what? They liked Sphero as well. They liked it so
much that we have received full page review. Title says, “Pricy, interactive fun with a huge
potential.”
Not only that but we have also hit the technological part of YouTube and Sphero was the first
gadget to receive a proper review. We are happy to be working with Orbotix.

Withings Pulse enters the market
Withings and its newest activity tracker, Pulse, have also been slowly emerging for quite some
time. Finally, the time has come and we have started marketing the product the way it is
supposed to be. We have bloggers and magazines testing it for us at the moment. We even
made sure that the product will be tested buy a real doctor.

We don’t only host events…
We are also a part of them. Whenever our partners show something new, it is guaranteed that
we are going to be there showing our support and learning. We appreciate everything our
business partners do and appreciate their efforts just like they appreciate ours. Here, our team
were at the conference hosted by our partner, TECHNISERV, where we learned more about
creating server rooms together with Infortrend, one of our suppliers.

opportunity to tell them about one of our storage superstars – Evault.

mophie and its amazing products
We are proud to work with our vendors, who take care of their products by improving and
innovating. mophie released a new line of products which are being recognized by the Polish
media. Currently mophie for Samsung S4 is being tested by the Polish Computer Bild and we
already have other editorial teams waiting in line to test it as well.

Every single time olloclip release a new product we receive e-mails from people who want to

Summary
September is another month full of trade fairs, exhibitions, workshops and new business
opportunities; we never sleep. Our team was really happy to be at IFA this year and see some of
you, our vendors, there. We are still discussing possible distributions as our CEO and Senior
Product Manager found some interesting projects, which have a huge potential in our country.
Besides all the field work, we develop our connections inside the media, expand YouTube
network and try to reach blogosphere, which should be an important boost in our marketing
activities in the upcoming months.
We are extremely grateful to work with all of you and we hope that it shows in everything we
do.
