Private/Semi-private Lesson Policy
1. Tuition should be paid in cash at the time of registration. It is non-refundable. 2. If you wish to continue taking classes after your last payment period, please make sure to book again and pay
tuition in advance of your last class. 3. Schedule: Your class will be regularly booked as scheduled, unless you tell us to cancel. Please be sure to inform
us of your cancellation in case you are unable to attend the class.
4. Cancellation policy: Cancellations should be made by 6:00 pm the day before your scheduled class. Otherwise, you will be charged for the lesson. For Monday classes, cancellations will be accepted until 3:00 pm on the Saturday before your scheduled lesson. Cancellations of classes scheduled for the day following school or national holidays should be made by 6:00 pm (Mon. – Fri.) or 3:00 pm (Sat.) on the last working day before the holiday. Please note that frequent cancellations may result in your teacher being assigned to another class and a different teacher being assigned to your lesson.
5. Cancellation for Semi-private Lesson: Only whole class cancellation will be accepted. The lesson fee is charged per class, not person. To avoid the lesson fee for two, please confirm each other for the next class participation. No make up lesson for an absentee is available.
6. Rescheduling: We will do our best to ensure that you have the same teacher each class. However, on occasion your assigned teacher may not be available. If this occurs, we will arrange for another teacher to take your class on the day and time that you request. Depending on classroom availability, it might be impossible to arrange a make up lesson on your requested day and time. If you wish to reschedule, please let us know as early as possible.
7. Tardiness: Your teacher will wait for 30 minutes for you to arrive. If you are going to be later than that, please call MLC so that your teacher will know to wait longer.
8. Your lesson credits are for your personal use only. You cannot transfer the right of attendance towards others.

● Schedule : We recommend that you set up a fixed day and time to guarantee your specific time slot
and teacher.
● Level : From a Beginner to Advanced.
● Purpose : Daily conversation, business conversation, and/or preparation for the Japanese
Language Proficiency Test.
● Day & Time : Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 9:30 pm, Saturday 10:15 am - 4:45 pm
● Registration fee : None!
● Payment : Payment should be made at least 1 day before the class starts. The minimum number of
lessons is eight lessons. If the tuition is being paid by your company, please consult us
about the payment method.
● Validity : Purchased lessons must be used by the expiration date. The expiration date is
calculated by [number of lessons] x 1.5 weeks.
E.g. 8 lessons expire after 12 weeks.

レッスン日時は固定となり、ご契約日時で授業料が発生致します。レッスンをお休みされる場合は、キャ
ンセル期限内にご連絡下さい。キャンセル期限内にご連絡いただいた場合、授業料は発生致しません。

祝祭日、及び休校日の翌日のレッスン :前営業日午後6時まで (前営業日が土曜日の場合、午後3時まで)
※キャンセル期限を過ぎますと、授業料が発生致しますのでご注意下さい。
キャンセルはクラス単位となります。クラス内に欠席される生徒様がいらしても、レッスンが行われた場
合は、ご登録生徒様分のご契約授業料が発生致します。
3. ご不在の場合
教師訪問時に生徒様ご不在の場合、又はご連絡が取れない場合、教師は現地でレッスン開始時刻から30分間お
待ち致します。その間にご連絡いただければ、レッスン終了時刻まではお待ちすることができます。
4. クラスのご登録変更
クラス内のご登録生徒様の変更は月単位でお受け致します。
5. レッスンの振替
キャンセル期限内にご連絡いただいた場合のみ、レッスンの振替ができます。
振替レッスンは、可能な範囲で担当教師にて調整致しますが、ご希望の日時で担当教師の都合がつかない場合、
他の教師が代行することもございます。予めご了承下さい。 早目にご連絡いただきますと、担当教師の調整がつ

Survival Japanese Course (Private lesson, one to one lesson)
This is an Instant Japanese Survival Course that enables students to enjoy daily life by learning minimum level of Japanese. Students will find this course especially useful and will become comfortable to communicate with local Japanese.
You can instantly use simple Japanese in daily life activities such as shopping, taking public transport and eating in a restaurant, etc. Having finished this course, you will be able to express simple ideas to your Japanese friends. Come and join us, enjoy your communication in Japanese right after your first lesson with us.
Eligibility
This course is for those who are learning Japanese for the first time.

Policy
1. Schedule (date, day, time) cannot be changed. The Survival Japanese Course is a special discounted course which offers no rescheduling and cancellation of lessons under any circumstances. You will miss the lesson if you are not able to attend the lesson according to the schedule. If you would like to have a flexible schedule, please kindly enroll the Regular Private Lesson. The course fee will be 8 × 90 minutes/lesson = \60,480 (\7,560/lesson). Please kindly note that once your enrollment of the Survival Japanese Course is confirmed, it is not possible to switch to any course even you are willing to pay the price difference between different courses.
2. Mid-term cancellation or changing of your course is not acceptable.
3. Tuition should be paid in cash. It is non-refundable. The tuition fee of this course cannot be transferred to any other courses.
4. Teacher might change in a middle of a course due to unexpected reasons.
5. In the case of absence, you will not be able to make up the missed class.
6. Your lesson credits are for your personal use only. You cannot transfer the right of attendance towards others.
7. This is a special promotional course which each student can only enroll the course for one time. Repeating this course is not feasible. If you would like to continue the Japanese study after the completion of this course, you can select among the group course, private course or intensive course depends on which one suit your study plan the most.

The minimum is two and the maximum is four per class.
Small class sizes give you maximum speaking practice!

The days, times, and frequency (i.e. number of days per week) of the lessons will be fixed.
There are no classes on Sunday.
Term: When does a new class start?
A new class will be scheduled whenever there are more than two students at the same level who wish to start a
course. See page 2 for the procedure.

This class is for those who know the grammar points of Japanese For Busy People Vol. 1, 2 and 3, have a confident
grasp of everyday conversation, can fully express themselves, and can logically explain their opinions.
This class is for those who can read 300-700 Kanji characters.
Focus and Achievement Goals
The focus is on conversational expressions that can be used in actual business situations.
Negotiating and giving presentations in Japanese in a business context.
Learning 500-1,000 Kanji characters.

This class is for those who can read about 1000 Kanji characters.

Using expressions and phrases that are thought to be indispensable for business on a functional and situational basis.

Kanji Study
● We recommend that you study with MLC original Basic Kanji 320 (\1,600 → \1,200 for MLC students,
tax included) or KANJI IN CONTEXT (by The Japan Times, \3,500 + tax) for which MLC has prepared
test sheets.
● 20 (or 10) characters are covered each week.
Tests cover groups of ten, twenty, fifty and one hundred.

From JR. Yamanote Line Meguro Station Take the stairs in the center of the Yamanote Line platform. As soon as you exit, turn left to the west exit, go up the
stairs. Go to the left and cross the street to the right, then walk straight ahead for about 150 meters. We are on the 3rd and 4th floors. It takes about 2 minutes from the station, so if you have walked more than that please call us.
