Over 3200 teams participated in the event to solves growing
problems faced by Pune City. Out of which 50 were shortlisted for
36-hour Hackathon held at Heritage Building, SPPU. The Teams
worked overnight on the campus.
After series of evaluation rounds, 10 finalist teams were selected,
one of which was a team from MIT-WPU.
The final round was conducted in the Jury room (Heritage Building)
in front of panel of more than 20 judges. These jury consisted of
Eminent Government Officials and Industrial Experts.
The Second Year Btech students of MIT-WPU, were the
youngest competitors in the hackathon who secured 2nd position
with a prize money of ₹ 1 Lakh.
They were felicitated by Mr. Rajendra Jagtap (CEO Pune Smart City),
Dr. Nitin Karmarkar (Vice Chancellor SPPU), Dr. N.S. Umrani (Pro
Vice Chancellor SPPU) and Mr. Manojit Bose (Chief Knowledge
officer Pune Smart city).
