“M inistering to the Hispanic Latino
Family” with Rev. German Novelli and Rev. Alfonso Prada
True or False?
According to the U.S. Census, 2012, there
are at least 52 million Hispanic-Latinos in
the USA.
And this year, 2014, the U.S. Census Bureau estimates a population of at least 54 million
Hispanic-Latinos in the USA.
All Hispanic-Latinos in the USA are faithful
Catholics who regularly attend mass.
The vast majority of the current Hispanic-
Latino USA population is foreign born.
According to current statistics, about 11
million Hispanic-Latinos have documentation
issues, which is about 21% of the Hispanic-Latino population in the USA.
The USA is the 8th largest Spanish
speaking countries in the world.
Close to 80% of Hispanics live in
rural areas.
More than 70% of the Hispanic-Latino population are below
the poverty line.
The birth rate of the Hispanic-Latino
population is 1 death to 9 births.
According to projections, by the year 2050, over 10% of the overall population in
the USA will be Hispanic-Latino.
The purchasing power of the Hispanic-Latino population will grow
from $99 billion to $1.3 trillion by the
year 2015.
There are more tortillas (all forms) consumed
than white bread; more salsa than regular
tomato ketchup.
All Hispanic-Latinos in the USA are the same,
have an identical language, culture,
customs, foods, etc.
All Hispanic-Latinos in the USA are Christians who faithfully attend
church.
Hispanic-Latinos who have documentation issues (as the case also with immigrants from other
nations), only have to follow a simple list of requirements in
order to get a proper visa.
