Mid-Autumn Festival

According to legend, in ancient times, there were ten

suns in the sky, they destroyed the crops and the people

were very sad. A hero named Hoy shot down

nine suns and ordained when the the last sun would rise

and fall for all time, and people all respected him.

God gave him medicine that could keep him alive.

The hero loved his wife very much and gave the medicine

to her, however, she had to eat it when a bad man wanted to

take it from her.

On the moon palace, there is a person who is always hacking the cinnamon. However, the magical cinnamon can heal its own wounds. It was said that the man is Wu Gang, he

did something wrong so that he had to do this day after day.

Mid-Autumn in Korea is very different from

that in China, but it is influenced by Chinese

culture.
