BARRIER METHODS
• The most frequently used are the condom and the diaphragm. They prevent contact between the sperm and the egg. To be effective, they must be put on properly before sexual intercourse takes place.
The condom is the best way to prevent the transmission of sexually-transmitted diseases (STDs).
