The Mesa Adaptive Sports program is for athletes with an intellectual disability. Athletes who wish to compete in Special Olympic Area or State Games must complete a Special Olympic Medical. Drop in and work out, 5:30am – 9pm Monday-Friday, 8am – 1pm Saturday. The Red Mountain Center offers an indoor walking track, 30 foot climbing wall, cardiovascular and strength equipment, basketball/volleyball/ pickleball, gymnasium, and over 90 group fitness classes each week including Zumba, yoga, Pilates, step and boot camp. More than 125 special Interest classes are offered for toddlers, youth, teens and adults including martial arts, dance, sports, music, arts and crafts. For information call 480-644-4800. Daily admission ranges from $3-$6. Monthly and multi-visit discounts are available.
KIDS CLUB is open for youth ages 6 months to 7 years. The Youth Activity Center is open for youth ages 8-15 during peak hours.

Pools Open for Public Memorial Weekend, May 24! Cool off in City of Mesa Aquatics Pools and Programs. 9 locations for a cool, refreshing time. Slides, diving boards, beach entries, water features. POOL PASSES - Buy a season pass and swim all of June and July for one low price. Regular pass price is $224 for immediate household and $44 for individuals-if you buy over Memorial Day weekend the season pass is $112 and the individual pass is $33.
FLOW RIDER - Ride the only surf machine in Arizona the “FlowRider”. If you wake board skate board or snowboard, this ride is for you. The standing wave will give you a thrill as you boogie board or surf on a thin sheet of water. AQUATIC SPORTS TEAMS - Join a summer recreational team and get in the action! 4 different sports: swimming, springboard diving, synchronized swimming, water dance and water polo for ages 5-17. Teams practice during the summer months of June and July. Morning and evening practice times and weekly competitions. Have a blast with certified coaches. If you can meet the basic swimming requirements you can be part of the TEAM. $70.00 resident, $83.00 non-resident, per child for 8 weeks of fun instruction and exciting competition. Special 50% discount when the same participant signs up for more than one sport.
SPRING SWIM LESSONS - Don’t put your summer water learning on hold, our spring swimming lessons are a fun way to keep water safety lessongoing. Our pools are heated and our certified instructors can give your child the skills they need to become and stay water safe all year long. We have classes in range from “Mommy and Me” to youth stroke improvement. Classes begin March 9.
SUMMER SWIM LESSONS - All levels of learn to swim classes for any age and skill levels are offered. Take advantage of our program that utilizes American Red Cross certified instructors to providefun, engaging and challenging activities that help children learn to swim. JR LIFEGUARD - Do you want to be a lifeguard? Join the summer fun and earn volunteer hours for Service Learning awards. Learnthe basics of water rescue and swimming instruction. Jr Lifeguards are led through a short training program and then work side byside with staff guards to learn the ropes and help the patrons. Participants must be able to swim 200 yards continuously, tread water for 60 seconds and surface dive and swim under water for a minimum of 10 yards. Program is designed for teens age 13-15. Parent orlegal guardian must attend a parent orientation. $48 resident, $58 non-resident. Classes begin March 24 for summer placement.
