What is GENRE?

Genre  is  a  style  or  category  of  media  product.    Genre  is  a  French  (originally  La9n),  meaning  ‘kind’  or  ‘class’.  An  example  of  a  genre  is  horror.    There  are  typical  features  that  are  predictable  as  it  is  constantly  repeated.    There  are  different  types  of  genres,  which  are  called  subgenres,  for  instance  psychological  thriller.
