Growth Prospects in Media and Advertisement Industry -

• According to a report by CII-AT Kearney, the share of international markets in total box office collections was estimated to increase from 8% in 2006 to 15% in 2010; still growing with a rapid Speed.

• Out of home advertising revenue rose 4.2 percent in the first quarter of 2011

• Indian media industry jumps 11% : KPMG

• According to KPMG-FICCI report – Indian M&E industry will grow at a compounded annual growth rate of 13 percent per annum through 2014 to reach INR 1.1 trillion.

TV industry is estimated to have reached a size of INR 257 billion, a growth of 6.8 percent over 2008. Expected to grow at the rate of 15 percent over 2010-14 and reach a size of INR 521 billion in 2014

Print Industry had a growth of 2% in 2009 & reached around INR 175 billion size; projected to grow at a CAGR of 9 percent over the next five years and reach around INR 269 billion in size by 2014

Radio Industry has grown at a CAGR of 9% over 2009 and reached a size of INR 7.8 billion by end of 2009, and estimated to grow by 16% by 2014

Music industry was estimated at around INR 8.3 billion in 2009, up from INR 7.3 billion in 2008, implying a growth of 14 percent during the period and estimated to grow 16% by 2014

Gaming’s the biggest growth area: 22% growth in 2009, it is expected to grow at a CAGR of 32 percent in the next 5 years to reach INR 32 billion by 2014

Internet advertising is only about 1% of the total M&E revenues in 2009, and is only expected to go up to 3% by 2014. But its small base, is expected to grow the fastest at a CAGR of 29.6%over the next 5 years.

Job Description• Identifying and establishing contact with potential customers proactively• Maintaining contact with new and existing customers to promote product sales and

deliver a detailed account strategy• Follow up on referrals and new leads resulting after field activity• Establishing and maintaining new and established client relationships• Responding to sales inquiries from new and existing customers• Assisting in the execution of marketing plans of company as required• Meeting monthly & annual sales goals and targets• Maintaining the company’s contact database management with up-to-date contact,

accurate and activity details• Preparing a variety of sales status reports (monthly/ weekly etc.) that include

activity, follow-up, closings, and adherence to targets• Providing feedback of potential customers and members to enhance product

functioning and the service delivery• Preparing proposals, presentations, and sales contracts• Establishing and maintaining new and established client relationships• Responding to sales inquiries from new and existing customers• Delivering presentations of the company products at conferences, customer sites

and exhibitions

Education & Experience

• The candidate must have a Bachelors Degree or a post Graduation (preferred MBA)

• Possess strong verbal and written communication skills;

• demonstrated ability to organize vast amounts of data;

• demonstrate ability to multi-task several priorities and possess solid time management skills

• Capable of working the entire MS Office suite, especially Excel

Required skill set• Good interpersonal and communication skills• Tenacious work attitude• Self-motivated and flexible to work under negligible supervision• Excellent problem solving skills• Able to persuade and convince others and should have negotiation

skills to deal with different kinds of customers• An enthusiastic, confident, problem – solving and flexible mindset

is important• Having an emotional and sympathetic approach to people and

their problems is an advantage in this profession• Good computer application skills such as Microsoft Word, Excel,

PowerPoint etc.• High emotional stability• Capable of agile cogitating to give quick and accurate response to

questions

Compensation Plan- • The compensation plan will include a base

salary of 4 lac (28-30 k in hand)
