Great design of the user's experience has effects far beyond what we traditionally attribute to the discipline of UX. When we're willing to accept that putting people over pixels achieves business goals *and* makes the world better in its own way, we can choose to empower people to do what they want to do. In this presentation given at Digital Summit 2014 in Atlanta, I make the case for how this can be true and how it allows UX to scale.
