    Alongtheway,youwillspotmanyGaliciantraditional‘hórreos’(granaries).AswepassthroughthetinytownofBarbadelo,makesuretotaketimetoseethebeautifulRomanesquechurchinthevillageofBarbadelowithitsincrediblebaroquealtar.OthersmallhamletswetraverseincludeRente,Serra,Peruscallo,Morgade,

    MercadoiroandVilache.Eachprovidesanopportunityforyoutorest,haveasnackorlookaround.

    Thereareseveralchurchesworthstoppingatalongtheway,butperhapstheoneyoushouldnotmissaretheRomanesqueChurchofSantaMaríainCastromaiorandtheRomanesquechurchinEirexe,withitsportalfeaturingasculptureofDanielwithanimals,aswellasPilgrimSantiago.Weendtoday’sjourneyinthetownofPalaisdeRei.AmongtheplacesyoushouldtakeinisCastillodePambrewhichisthemostcompleteMedievalFortinGalicia,datingfromthe14thcentury.

    ThesceneryherecanbebreathtakingaswefollowtheCastasolRiver,crossingseveralstreams.We’llmakeourwayalongaforesttrackofeucalyptusandoak,bringingustothevillageofBoenteandthechurchofSantiagowheretheparishpriestenjoysbeckoningtravelerstocomeinforavisit.Nextisthepretty,medievalhamletofRibadisoandfinallythetownofArzúawhichconnectstotheCaminointheNorth.Duringyourfreeevening,youshouldvisitthechurchesofSantaMaríaandAMagdalena.
