The Outlook
Glenn’s Corner
I am so excited about what is coming in March and April. We had a great kick off to our Men’s Group on Super Bowl Sunday with close to 50 in attendance. We will have another breakfast on April 6th with more wild game to try. If you missed the last one no big deal. Come on out to this one and start building friendships. March 2nd we are packing 20,000 meals with “Stop Hunger Now”. If you forgot to sign up don’t let that deter you from participating. Come join us at one of two shifts: 12pm or 2pm. We are not providing a meal that day to participants, just packing 20,000 meals. This is just one way to tackle the growing issue of hunger in our world. Let’s not forget the challenge of 100 fami-lies skipping a dinner out and putting $25 to de-fray the cost for that weekend. The cost of pack-ing 20,000 meals is $5,000. Our “Family Retreat” is coming April 25—27. It is always an awesome weekend for our church body. Whether you are single or a family of 6, 4years old or 70 years old, this weekend will relax you, uplift you and give you time to be with your family and God. There is plenty to do: hiking, fishing, indoor games, basketball, four square, and more. Shon Earhart, Children’s Minister at Pinedale Christian Church, will be our speaker. He has been at Pinedale for more than 15 years. Shon is married to Michelle and has two kids; Sheldon and Larkin. Denise Calloway and her team are planning a great weekend you will not want to miss!!! Our Easter Services are always great around here. We start off with a Sonrise Service at 7am that leads right into a full breakfast. There will be no Sunday School as we come together at 10:30am for our Worship and celebration. Easter is our greatest celebration as Christians. The resurrection defines us beyond any other religious movement. We worship a risen Savior that knows, hears and gets our every need. No other religion claims that. All other religions great people are dead. May you be encouraged that our risen Lord knows you, loves you, and sits at God’s right
hand. Glenn
Luke’s Letter to the Flock There went the first two months of the year like a flash
of light. These last two months were awesome! Our student
Ministry was blessed and all I can say is God can give us
strength to accomplish all things!
I also want to thank each and every one of you who
helped and had a part in the Spaghetti Lunch! We had one of the
biggest crowds we have had in years and you folks sure did bless
us! The donation total for the Silent auction was $414. The total
donations for the event were $1500. This money will be used to
send our Student Ministry to life changing events this summer!
THANK YOU
Thank you as well to all the Student Ministry
Parents and Adults who helped to set up, cook, and tear down for
our Super Bowl Party! We had close to 50 people come out and
it was an awesome night! And of course Thank you to all who
helped out at CCYC! What an amazing weekend! The relation-
ships and memories that our students built with each other and
God throughout the weekend will never be forgotten!
March and April will be busy months, and it will only
move faster after that! So hang in there and stay in tune with
what is going on! We will be having a parent meeting to inform
you of upcoming events, fundraisers and trips this year!
The Yard Sale is April 4-5 which is one of our biggest
fundraisers of the year, please be ready to get involved! Easter is
also coming up real fast and that means the Legendary Easter
Hike and Lunch...don’t want to miss out on that one!
Please never stop praying for all of our students, our
church, our ministry, and most of all God’s church!
Together and through him all things are possible!

Family Retreat
CHILDREN’S Corner Hey Families,
I want to thank all of you who accepted the Grow/Sprouts challenge this year.
There were roughly 42 kids and their families involved in this year’s challenge. To
celebrate you and your families hard work and effort we will again rent out the
whole skating rink for our annual Grow/Sprouts skating party at the Roll-R-King on
Saturday March 8th from 1-3pm. Mark your calendars and make plans to come out
and be a part of this fun and free event with your families. This is our way of say-
ing thanks for taking the challenge and to celebrate your families growth together
during the challenge. Family leaders I know life is very busy and it is hard to find
time to do all you do to provide love, nurture and above all grow your children in
Christ. I want to thank you for your extra efforts during the Grow/Sprouts chal-
lenge. Thanks and please know you and your children are prayed for. I also want
to encourage you to bring your children to participate in our Sunday School and
both Sunday and Wednesday evening programs. In our world today we need to
help encourage our kids to grow in Christ as well as help them build a community
of friends and their families who are connected to Christ. We want to help you
build your families on the strong foundation of God, His Son and Word. So bring
your child out to be a part of it make it a part of your lifestyle.
We have many up coming events in both March and April so make plans to join us.

THE VOGAN CHURCH: The churches in Togo had a 3 day long convention and the
Vogan Church attended. It was awesome. 509 people attended and 39 people gave their
lives to Christ and were baptized.
SAD VILLAGE: By God’s grace a new church has been started in the Sad village 8 kilo-
meters from Vogan. It is really the domain of Voodu worship, and it is Satan’s territory,
full of evil and darkness. Praise God the Gospel light has been lit in this village! There is
now about 40 people that meet there on the Lord’s day with their children and they
have baptized 7 adults.
AQUAPONICS: Togo’s future project that they are excited about is becoming more
self-sustaining by using aquaphonics, raising of fish alongside the growing of vegeta-
bles. They are thankful God has been opening doors during Dovene’s recent trip there.
PRAYER POINTS: (1) A boy was given to a family to be foster parents over 4 years
ago. The biological parents have had a disagreement with the foster family and they
have had the child removed. The child is a nephew of Hammer’s and he helped original-
ly with the placement of the child when he was severely malnourished. There have been
wrongful attacks on Hammer’s character regarding this situation though the case was
brought to local court and decided there. Please pray that truth would shine and lies
would be exposed.
2. Adeline: Recently had her surgery and is doing well.
3. Dovene’s family’s moving to Togo in September 2014.
