to enrich scholars' knowledge of codicology and palæography to enhance intellectual access to the collection through creation and dissemination of searchable, web-discoverable descriptions and digital surrogates to compile a database of bibliographic and codicological data that may serve to further research and scholarship in Near Eastern studies and Islamicate manuscript studies in particular.
