JLS (Jack The Lad Swing) are a British Boy band made up of four guys, Aston, Marvin, Oritse and JB. They play music from genres such Pop, R'n'b and Dance-Pop.

JLS broke into the music industry when they were runners-up in the fifths series of reality TV show The X Factor in 2008. here they started to build a fan base. All X Factor finalists have to sign a contract that binds them to Modest Management although Sony BMG, who signs the winner, has first refusal on the other finalists.

In 2009 jls were signed to epic records. Epic Records is an

American Record Label which is owned by Sony Music

Entertainment.

JLS are represented by Richard Griffiths, Harry Magee and Phil McCaughan for Modest! Management. An artist manager is in charge of the business side of being in a band. The artist manager helps to promote the band, book gigs and negotiate deals. The artist manager basically takes care of the day to day running of the bands career so they can focus on the music.

Timeline of their Recording career

• JLS's first album was called ‘JLS’; it was released in the United Kingdom on 9th November 2009.

• JLS's second album called 'Outta This World' was released in the United Kingdom on 22nd November 2010.

• JLS's third album called 'Jukebox' was released in the United Kingdom on 11th November 2011.

Outta This WorldJLS started work on their album, ‘Outta This World’, in

2010.
