Usually when we say goodbye to somebody, we're pretty sure that we're going to see them again, and soon.

But many of the people in these photographs, had no idea if they were ever going to be reunited with their loved ones again. And sadly, many weren't.

These pictures serve to remind us that life is short, so don't wait until Valentine's Day to tell somebody you love them. Tell them today!
