LOUVRE• The Louvre Museum is popular
for having the largest collection in the world.
• The museum was open on August 10, 1793 after the revolution.
• In the late 12th century the museum was actually a palace and royal fortress built by Philip II.
• The French Government Owns The Louvre.
• The Louvre is also known for having controversies that surround cultural property seized which were under Napoleon I.
• The Louver has been featured in movies.
• Fun fact: There is McDonalds inside the museum.
MONA LISA
• The Mona Lisa is the Louvers most famous work made by Leonardo da Vinci.
• The Mona Lisa is also known as La Giaconda.
• The identity of the women in this painting has remained a mystery.
• There have been many times when the Mona Lisa was taken away.
• Notice that she doesn’t have eyebrows , many have said that Da Vinci forgot to finish the painting and others believe they were removed from being moved to much.
LOUVRE PYRAMID
• The Louvre pyramid is made out of glass. It is a glass and metal pyramid.
• The pyramid is a landmark of Paris it was completed in 1989.
• There had been rumors believed by some people that the glass panes in the pyramid number the number or the beast. (666)
• There are three pyramids total the but larger pyramid is the entrance to the museum .
